Season 2, Episode 76 of The Terrible Podcast is up and with David Todd out of town traveling, Nick Richetta mans the co-host chair today and we discuss the Thursday Todd Haley introductory press conference along with the interview that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger gave to Ed Bouchette prior to that. We also talk about what this all might mean to the Pittsburgh Steelers offense and the play of Roethlisberger and the young wide receivers moving forward. Quite a lot of discussion we had back and forth on this.
We move off of Haley and Roethlisberger and talk about Steelers salary cap guru Omar Khan and the recent contract restructures of LaMarr Woodley, Lawrence Timmons and Ike Taylor. We discuss how they were done and what it means to future years salary cap wise as we try to calm the fears of several fans that are worried about pushing some liability forward to future years. We also discuss how it is likely that Khan will remain with Steelers for at least another year.
In the last part of the podcast I interview Seth Paladin, the Steelers fan that befriended Antonio Brown during the week leading up to Super Bowl XLVI. Seth tells me all about how he hooked up with Antonio and what all they did during the week. He also lets me know what Antonio said about the hiring of Haley as the new offensive coordinator as well as his thoughts on learning a new offense.
