Martha Bellisle of the Reno Gazette-Journal is reporting this evening that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has settled his civil suit with former Harrah’s Lake Tahoe casino host Andrea McNulty, but that it is unknown if money was in fact involved in the settlement.
McNulty filed a suit in 2009 that claimed Roethlisberger lured her into his penthouse suite and forced her to have sex while he was in Lake Tahoe for a celebrity golf tournament. Roethlisberger and other defendants named in the suit were denied a motion to move the case out of Reno in August of 2011. The paper reports that all of the parties named in the suit signed stipulations to dismiss the case back in December.
As you would expect in a settlement like this, the lawyers are not talking.
