Season 2, Episode 59 of The Terrible Podcast is up and with David Todd lost out in Las Vegas after attending the Monday night game against the San Francisco 49ers, Nick Richetta takes over the co-host chair for us. Nick and I get right into the Steelers Thursday injury report as they get ready to take on the St. Louis Rams Saturday at Heinz Field. I get the thoughts of Nick as they relate to the status of Ben Roethlisberger and the other injured Steelers players going forward. I share my reasoning of why the Steelers might play Ben as it relates to possibly earning a higher seed in the AFC and we both agree that head coach Mike Tomlin is pretty much in lose-lose situation regardless of his decision on Roethlisberger. Should he dress and serve as the emergency QB? We discuss that angle as well.
We move on and talk about wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and those pesky feet problems, as you never want to hear a young wide receiver having the types of problems he has had so early in his career. We also talk about Hines Ward and if this could very well be his final home game on Saturday. We look into the wide receiver crystal ball as well as it relates to Sanders, Ward and Jerricho Cotchery.
We dip into a little pregame talk about the Rams and then get to my interview today with St. Louis AP Sports Writer R.B. Fallstrom. Fallstrom covers the Rams and I ask him about the health of the team, their defense, Steven Jackson and Sam Bradford to get started with. We talk about the future of the Rams going forward as it relates to their coaching staff and draft needs. I get a final prediction on the game from R.B. before we close the interview.
