Season 2, Episode 63 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I get right into the final injury report report of the week for the upcoming game this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. Who is in, who is out? Who plays and for how long? We discuss it. We then move on to talk about the team awards announced on Thursday. Was Antonio Brown the right choice for team MVP? Do Ben Roethlisberger, Mike Wallace or Ike Taylor have a right to be slighted with the team vote? Who did Wallace vote for anyways? We hammer through all of that as well, plus have a few laughs in the process.
In the second part of the podcast is my Friday afternoon interview with Steelers backup safety and special teams player Da\’Mon Cromartie-Smith. We find out that he is not related to Antonio Cromartie or Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie as Wikipedia would have you think. What? Bad information on the internet? I ask Da\’Mon about life as a practice squad player and what his duties are during practice. We talk about his role on special teams since he was promoted to the 53 man roster a few weeks ago and talk about what he has learned from veteran safeties Troy Polamalu and Ryan Clark. We also discuss what it is like playing for the great Dick LeBeau. Da\’Mon is also now on Twitter so make sure to follow him at @CroSmith and make sure to let him know you heard his interview today. I am sure he will appreciate that.
In the last part of the podcast David and I make our weekly picks for all the games around the NFL in week 17. Did we both pick the Baltimore Ravens to beat the Cincinnati Bengals? Do we think the Steelers will blow-out the Browns on Sunday? You might be surprised with our predictions. I warn you that David is not about his wits at the end of the show, but he is doing it from out in Las Vegas, so we can forgive him today. We shout-out to a listener in Israel as well at the end before putting this episode to bed.
