Season 2, Episode 47 of The Terrible Podcast is up and with David Todd out of pocket for Thanksgiving, I am joined once again by Nick Richetta for the first half of the podcast. Nick and I start off with a brief look at the key Thanksgiving night game between the Ravens and the 49ers before we go over the Mike Tomlin Tuesday press conference. We discuss the thumb of Ben Roethlisberger, the hamstring of LaMarr Woodley and the knee of Emmanuel Sanders as you would expect. We then discuss the answer Tomlin gave about Cameron Heyward not receiving playing time against the Bengals and how we hope he can see the field a bit more moving forward to spell Brett Keisel. More Hines Ward talk in this episode as well and we give a brief preview of the Steelers Sunday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs. We will break this down even further on the Friday episode.
In part two of the show I am joined by Josh Looney, the beat writer for the Chiefs official website at KCChiefs.com. As you can imagine the first question I have is about the Chiefs claiming quarterback Kyle Orton off waivers this afternoon from the Broncos and ask if he thinks Orton has a shot to start Sunday night over Tyler Palko. After a brief injury report we talk about the Chiefs game Monday night against the Patriots and how they did not look as bad as the scoreboard indicated. We talk offense and defense and Josh tells me that he thinks Steelers tight end Heath Miller could have a big game Sunday night. We bounce around some more offense and defense talk on both sides of the ball and how both teams might attack each other this weekend. Josh closes by praising the Steelers and says he sees them as a Super Bowl contending team this year.
