Week 11 is complete and all 32 teams have now had their bye weeks. I have compiled the TOX stats for this past week and teams with a plus 2 TOX went 5-1 overall. The Panthers were the lone team not to win despite their plus 4 TOX against the Lions.
Year to date in head to head games the plus 2 teams are 85-21 and that keeps the winning percentage at 80% still on the year.
Teams with a mere positive TOX stat went 10-2 this week. Teams with a positive turnover differential went 11-2 overall and teams with a positive explosive play differential went 3-6 this week.
I have reconciled my year to date numbers now and the Texans lead the way with a plus 27 TOX stat. The only team still with a minus TOX likely to make the playoffs is the Patriots as it would take a huge collapse for that not to happen. The Panthers have the highest TOX of teams not likely to make the playoffs at this point. The Bears and the Lions both still have a chance in my opinion and I am not ready to rule them out just yet. The Lions have a big game Thursday against the Packers, while the Bears must go west and take on the Raiders without Jay Cutler.
The Steelers play the Chiefs Sunday night who managed to finish with a dead even TOX against the Patriots last night. Their defense only gave up 2 explosive plays to the Patriots offense, but their own offense managed to turn the ball over 3 times.
