Season 2, Episode 30 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and the way we always do at this point in the season–with a look at the injury report. The Steelers have a long list of injured players and with the bye week still a ways away, the team can ill-afford to lose too many more guys. The good news is that they came out of Sunday\’s win over the Titans relatively healthy with only Marcus Gilbert being added to the list. We go through who should play Sunday and who is unlikely to dress and what line-up changes will take place as a result. IF the Black & Gold can get through Sunday\’s game healthy, they should start getting most guys back in time for the big games with the Patriots and the Ravens.
We follow that with a breakdown of Sunday\’s opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars. We all know that On Any Given Sunday….but really, for the Steelers it better not be this Sunday. This is a game they should win. The Jags do have some good players, but the Steelers are a 12.5 point favorite for a reason. David & I go through Jacksonville\’s strengths and weaknesses and what they will try to do to stay in this game and we discuss how the Steelers should approach this one after finally putting together a pretty complete effort last week.
We talk briefly about the Mike Tomlin conference call this week with the Jacksonville media and both agree it is a non-story and that Tomlin was justified to end the call.
We close things out with our weekly picks. I figure out if you want to make money it\’s time to start fading his picks. If that\’s the case you might as well fade David\’s as well because they are mostly on the same page this week. Tune in and see if you agree.
