Season 2, Episode 32 of The Terrible Podcast is up and since David Todd is still out in Las Vegas so Nick Richetta once again gets a helmet on the show.
Nick and I start off this episode by looking at the injury report that Mike Tomlin gave on Tuesday and how it could affect the Steelers this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals. We also look at a few other comments Tomlin made during the presser.
We move on to the hot news on Wednesday that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger wants to run the no-huddle offense more. We each give our thoughts on it and the pros and cons related to it.
We wrap up the Jaguars game and get some opening thoughts in on the upcoming game against the Cardinals, which we will expand on during the podcast on Friday. In part 2 of this episode I am joined by Cardinals beat writer Kent Somers and get his insight on the Cardinals this week. He gives us an injury update coming out of the bye and gives his thoughts on what is going on with quarterback Kevin Kolb the last few weeks. We talk about how running back Beanie Wells has played this year and talk about their offensive line struggles in addition.
I ask Kent about the Cardinals defense and how the shift to the 3-4 defense is going under new defensive coordinator Ray Horton, the Steelers former secondary coach. Is Horton having to scale it back due to the lockout? I also ask him about the defense giving up so many explosive plays through the air this season and he gives his take on it. Several other questions about the Cardinals are asked as well.
