Below is the defensive participation chart for the Steelers week 5 game versus the Tennessee Titans this past Sunday. The Steelers really mixed things up this week due to the injuries.
The first thing that jumps out is that Chris Carter got on the field this week for 15 non-penalty plays. Lawrence Timmons flipped over to left outside linebacker for some work in addition. Surprisingly, no Stevenson Sylvester snaps.
Chris Hoke got all of his good days work done on just 26 plays.
Ryan Mundy saw a season high 45 snaps thanks to the dime package Dick LeBeau used this week.
Brett Keisel returned from injury to log 49 well needed snaps.
Ziggy Hood got quite a bit of work as expected with Aaron Smith out.
