Steelers Six From Around The Web – Wednesday October 19th – Building Better Young Money Chemistry Edition

Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was on 93.7 The Fan yesterday morning to talk about the win over the Jaguars and the adjustments that offensive coordinator Bruce Arians made to the gameplan after the Jaguars started to role more coverage to Mike Wallace. Sanders says that he and Antonio Brown are working hard this week in practice to improve the chemistry they have with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. I noted this lack of chemistry earlier in the week.

Hines Ward was on NFL Total Access last night and gave his thoughts on the Carson Palmer trade as well as the criticism of the Steelers being an aging team. Ward said Warren Sapp is still mad he did not win Dancing with the Stars with Kym Johnson, Hines\’ dance partner. Ward also talked about his cameo role in the latest Troy Polamalu Head and Shoulders commercial that also includes Brett Keisel and his beard.

The pregame release for the Steelers Cardinals game in PDF format is now up on steelers.com and it is a must weekly read for any real Steelers fan.

Ron Cook has a look at the impact that Keisel has made this year on defense and his ability to get those long arms up to bat down passes.

In the latest edition of Chalk Talk, Bob Labriola and Tunch Ilkin break down a couple of the key plays from the Steelers 17-13 win over the Jaguars this past Sunday. Ilkin does a great job of showing how the threat of the counter pike play contributed to the Wallace touchdown.

The Steelers along with the Make-a-Wish foundation helped make a wish come true for a young Steelers fan who suffers from a form of autism that prevents him from grabbing and throwing objects. The Steelers had the whole family in for a visit last and the 15-year-old Trenton Lockhart was able to attend the game and meet several of the Steelers. You can watch the video of the story below.
