Ben Roethlisberger Named AFC Offensive Player Of The Week

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week following his 5 touchdown performance against the Tennessee Titans this past Sunday. Roethlisberger was 24-34 passing on the afternoon for 228 yards. The five touchdown performance tied a single-game team record Roethlisberger already shares with former Steelers quarterbacks Mark Malone and Terry Bradshaw.

Roethlisberger spread the ball around last week to 7 different Steelers receivers and threw touchdowns to Hines Ward, Heath Miller, David Johnson and Mike Wallace. He finished the game with a 116.2 passer rating and a 7.1 yards per attempt. He was only sacked once on the afternoon and had just one interception right before halftime.

Roethlisberger is the first Steelers player to be named the player of the week this season.
