With nose tackle Chris Hoke likely out Sunday, the Steelers have promoted defensive lineman Corbin Bryant from the practice squad today, according to Mark Kaboly, before traveling west to face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Hoke is listed as doubtful on the Friday injury report and the Steelers were faced with only having four healthy defensive lineman in the form of Steve McLendon, Brett Keisel, Ziggy Hood and rookie Cameron Heyward.
Bryant spent the preseason with the Steelers after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Northwestern and was signed to the Steelers practice squad following the final roster cutdowns.
There is no word who was waived from the 53 man roster to make room for Bryant, but odds are it was offensive lineman Jamon Meredith. We should get word of that transction shorty.
