Former Steelers safety Brett Greenwood reportedly is out of his coma now according to The Quad-City Times. The paper reports Greenwood is standing and even speaking a little bit. Greenwood has been asking his mother about watching a Steelers football game on television since coming out of the coma.
Greenwood suffered an apparent heart attack back in the early part of September and had been in an induced coma since he collapsed while working out on a local football field less than a week after being released by the Steelers. Greenwood was originally signed as an undrafted free agent after playing his college ball at Iowa.
