Season 2, Episode 12 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and and I open with a look back at the Steelers final preseason game against Carolina, a 33-17 victory. We don\’t want to read too much into a relatively meaningless game, but the Steelers again looked good. Emmanuel Sanders and Cortez Allen finally got on the field, Jonathan Dwyer continued to show some promise and a bunch of young guys had one final opportunity to impress the coaching staff.
After the recap we spend the rest of our time breaking down the final 53-man roster and 8-man practice squad and look back at the roster cuts made to get there. Not a lot of real surprises, but a ton to talk about and we take a look at virtually every guy on the roster and how the final position battles finally shook out. I think there are only a handful of guys we didn\’t mention by name. See if you can figure out who they are. We also talk about how potent the Steelers offense looks headed into the season and wonder how opposing defensive coordinators will be able to game plan against it.
We expect to be back on Thursday with a closer look at the Ravens game coming up on Sunday and some of the other things going on around the division and the NFL.
