The Steelers got their first official practice of the week in on Wednesday in preparation for their week 4 game against the Houston Texans this coming Sunday in Houston. The injury report shows that right guard Doug Legursky (shoulder), wide receiver Arnaz Battle (knee), left tackle Jonathan Scott (ankle) and defensive end Brett Keisel (knee) all sat out out today and did not practice. All 4 players are highly questionable to play this week right now. Wide receiver Mike Wallace (ribs) was limited on Wednesday, but should be fine by Sunday. Wide receiver Hines Ward (not injury related), linebacker James Farrior (not injury related) and defensive end Aaron Smith (not injury related) had their normal veteran day off today. Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring), linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) and cornerback Bryant McFadden (hamstring) are not listed again this week on the injury report. Mike Tomlin updated the condition of all 3 players on Tuesday during his weekly press conference.
For the Texans on Wednesday, wide reciver Andre Johnson (knee, toe), cornerback Sherrick McManis (hamstring) and running back Derrick Ward (ankle, shoulder) did not practice. Tight end Joel Dreessen (knee), cornerback Kareem Jackson (knee), wide receiver Jacoby Jones (knee), wide receiver Kevin Walter (shoulder) and linebacker Mario Williams (knee) were all limited. Guard Thomas Austin (knee), linebacker Bryan Braman (wrist), guard Mike Brisiel (shoulder), running back Arian Foster (hamstring), linebacker DeMeco Ryans (knee, elbow) and running back Ben Tate (back) all practiced fully.
