Steelers Colts Week 3 Practice Injury Report – Thursday

steelers injury reportThe Steelers practiced again on Thursday in preparation for their week 3 game Sunday night against the Indianapolis Colts. There was some good news on Thursday as center Maurkice Pouncey (hamstring) practice fully today after being limited on Wednesday. Running back Jonathan Dwyer (shoulder) also practiced fully after being limited yesterday. Defensive end Brett Keisel (knee) remains sidelined and is almost certain to be out Sunday. Ziggy Hood will get the start at right defensive end with Keisel down. Linebacker James Farrior (not injury related), wide receiver Hines Ward (not injury related) and defensive end Aaron Smith (not injury related) all worked fully on Thursday after getting the day off yesterday. All three have been removed from the injury report. Cornerback Bryant McFadden (hamstring) and wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) both worked again fully for a second straight day and neither have shown up on the injury report this week. Despite practicing, McFadden will not start Sunday night as the Steelers will give William Gay a second straight start at left cornerback. Cotchery has an outside shot to be active as a 6th receiver against the Colts baring a setback.

For the Colts on Thursday, quarterback Peyton Manning (neck) and linebacker Ernie Sims (knee) have long been ruled out. Safety Melvin Bullitt (shoulder), linebacker Gary Brackett (shoulder), tight end Jacob Tamme (concussion), defensive tackle Fili Moala, guard Ryan Diem (ankle) and defensive end Dwight Freeney (abdominal) did not practice. Tight end Dallas Clark (foot) was limited while quarterback Kerry Collins (shoulder), defensive tackle Eric Foster, defensive end Robert Mathis (chest), tight end Brody Eldridge (knee) and wide receiver Blair White (back) had full participation in practice.
