Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his pregame press conference this morning in preparation to play the Eagles Thursday night. Here is your presser audio and recap and main talking points from this morning.

Tomlin ruled out Emmanuel Sanders, Cortez Allen, Crezdon Butler, Bryant McFadden, Chris Kemoeatu, Ike Taylor and Mario Harvey this week against the Eagles. He said Troy Polamalu and James Harrison will play this week. Aaron Smith, Brett Keisel and LaMarr Woodley are scheduled to work today. Limas Sweed is scheduled to work today as well as long as he does not have a set back with his shoulder. McFadden is dealing with a hamstring and/or quad injury. Kemoeatu wants to play, but Tomlin says it is his call to sit him this week.
Doug Legursky will get the start at left guard with Tony Hills getting the start at right guard. Starters are scheduled to get 20-25 snaps, but it depends on the flow of the game. Hills might stay in a little longer as Tomlin is going on a case by case basis.
Tomlin on what he\’s looking for against Eagles? Intensity? Execution? “All of the above”
Tomlin said he may consider kicking off shorter this week to get look at special teams.
No quarterback rotation has been set for this week.
Tomlin has no numbers set positionally as far as the 53 man roster goes as he wants the best 53 on roster.
Tomlin has an idea of how he will treat the new 46th active man on the roster this year but is not disclosing those thoughts.
Ike was praised for still practicing with his broken thumb and said, “That\’s Ike!” As soon is he is cleared by the doctors after surgery, he could return to practice some.
Tomlin praised Maurkice Pouncey for being in great physical condition and showing great leadership in his second season.
