Episode #65 of The Terrible Podcast is up and I fly solo as David Todd is on vacation. There is no real lockout news to update everyone on, but there is quite a bit of Steelers off field news to discuss with the arrest of receiver Hines Ward on suspicion of DUI early this past Saturday morning and the recent explosive article on linebacker James Harrison in the latest edition of Men\’s Journal. I briefly cover the topics before I am joined by Steelers beat writer Mark Kaboly from the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. The interview with Mark was done Wednesday afternoon right as the Harrison talk was in full throttle so keep that in mind. Mark I discuss the Harrison article as well as the Ward DUI charge and the potential backlash each might receive. We discuss if either might face suspension from the league or be disciplined by the Steelers instead. We finally get to some Steelers free agency talk and discuss Ike Taylor and Willie Colon briefly before moving on to lower profile free agents like William Gay, Matt Spaeth, Daniel Sepulveda and Mewelde Moore. I also get the thoughts of Mark on Troy Polamalu, Lawrence Timmons and Mike Wallace as all three enter their final season under contract in 2011.
Mark is a great guest and I thank him for his time and hope to have him on again once training camp gets underway. Make sure you follow him on Twitter at @MarkKaboly_Trib and read his work up on the Trib website.
