Episode #63 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I quickly touch on the labor situation heading into the weekend and go over the recent news of Antwaan Randle El having surgery on his knee in April and not prior to the lockout beginning. We discuss the Ike Taylor interview on Trib Live Radio yesterday and hit the high points of it. We then quickly touch on how re-signing both Taylor and Willie Colon could cost both Aaron Smith and Flozell Adams their roster spots or at the very least some money. ESPN.com has released their top 10 players list as voted on by their bloggers and we discuss where Troy Polamalu, Ben Roethlisberger and James Harrison ended up on it.
In Part 2 of Episode 63, I welcome back to the show former Steelers running back Verron Haynes and talk to him about his attempt to return to the NFL in 2011. I also get his thoughts on the return of both Tiki Barber and Plaxico Burress as well and what he thinks of both of them. We discuss the conditioning of players during the lockout and how it could effect first and second year players. I get the thoughts of Verron on Alan Faneca and Hines Ward and if they are both easily desitned for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Verron gives us a quick update at the end of the interview on his charity work he does with the Boys & Girls Clubs as well as The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Verron has always been a great friend of the show and he we always enjoy having back on. Make sure to follow Verron on Twitter @VerronHaynes and visit his website at www.verronhaynes.com.
