Steelers Agree To Terms With Willie Colon On A 5 Year Contract

Tackle Willie Colon is back as he has come to terms with the Steelers on a 5-year $29 million dollar contract this afternoon. You had a feeling it was going to happen after news broke last night that left tackle Max Starks was being released. Colon reportedly had some interest from other teams during the beginning of the free agency period, but decided to return to Pittsburgh.

Colon had stated all through the offseason that it was his desire to return, but said he knew that it was out of his hands. It is believed that Colon will be the starting right tackle, but that has not yet been confirmed by the coaching staff. The Steelers still have veteran Flozell Adams on the roster and there is still speculation that Jonathan Scott could be re-signed as well.

ETA: The deal reportedly includes $7.5 million in guaranteed money!
