Steelers Six From Around The Web – Monday January 31st – Dick LeBeau Speaks You Listen Edition

It should be no secret to you now that rookie center Maurkice Pouncey likely will not play in Super Bowl XLV due to a fracture in his ankle and a high ankle sprain. Adam Schefter reports he is for sure out and I expect Mike Tomlin will confirm this next week as well. Also still not looking good for Aaron Smith right now either.

Dick LeBeau was on Sirius NFL Radio the other night and you can hear it here thanks to one of my Twitter followers who recorded it. I will also pop in this LeBeau interview way back from 2 years ago at media day when Steve Mariucci interviewed Coach Dad.

NFL.com Senior Analyst Pat Kirwan wrote that he thinks Super Bowl XLV will likely have 80-plus pass plays called and more than 40 blitzes.

Speaking of blitzes, Elliot Harrison writes how the Zone blitz has come a long way since the advent of the 3-4 thanks to Dick LeBeau and Dom Capers.

NFL Network analyst Kurt Warner said on Sunday he thinks he knows what it takes to beat the Steelers defense. It just is not that easy, Kurt.

The NFL on FOX crew including Terry Bradshaw chatted with Ben Roethlisberger and Aaron Rodgers during halftime of the Pro Bowl Sunday evening. It was pretty bland, but evidently Bradshaw and Ben will do a one-on-one during next week that will be shown during the pregame.
