The Steelers continued practice preparations on Thursday for their week 14 home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. WR Hines Ward (not injury related) worked fully and was removed from the injury report after having Wednesday off. DT Steve McLendon (stinger) was added on Thursday as limited with a stinger injury. T Flozell Adams (ankle) practiced fully after sitting out on Wednesday and is vowing to be ready Sunday. TE Heath Miller (concussion) sat for a second straight day as expected. S Troy Polamalu (ankle) also sat out a second straight day, but should be good to go on Sunday. RB Isaac Redman (ankle) practiced fully after being limited on Wednesday. DE Aaron Smith (triceps) remains sidelined and will of course be out again this week. QB Ben Roethlisberger worked fully again and his wearing a clear practice shield on his face mask to protect his nose. He is not on the injury report.
For the Bengals on Thursday, CB Johnathan Joseph (ankle) missed his second straight day of practice after re-aggravating an ankle injury that has already caused him to miss three games this season. CB Rico Murray (ankle) was added to the injury report on Thursday after missing practice due to an ankle injury. C Kyle Cook (shoulder), DE Carlos Dunlap (hip) and LB Rey Maualuga (shoulder) were all added as limited as well. WR Terrell Owens (ankle) was limited on Wednesday but had full participation on Thursday while G Nate Livings (ankle) went from did not practice on Wednesday to limited on Thursday and RB Bernard Scott (illness) from did not practice on Wednesday to full participation on Thursday. DE Pat Sims (knee) was limited for a second straight day. TE Jermaine Gresham (not injury related), whose grandmother died on Monday, also missed practice.
