Sunday\’s week 3 game between the Steelers and Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium will be blacked out in the local Tampa Bay area, Bucs spokesman Jonathan Grella said on Thursday. Several thousand tickets remained unsold by the 72-hour deadline of 1PM by which an NFL game has to be sold out to avoid a local TV blackout. The Buccaneers could of asked for a 24-hour extension, but based on the pace of ticket sale there was no need, Grella said. This is surprising as Florida has a huge contingent of Steelers fans and both teams enter the game undefeated. The Buccaneers had their week 1 game against the Cleveland Browns blacked out as well, so they are not off to a good start.
