The drama of this week is over before it ever got started, as according to Post Gazette beat writer Ed Bouchette, linebacker Lawrence Timmons told a group of reporters on Monday that free safety Ryan Clark will sit out this weeks preseason game in Denver as a precaution. As I mentioned in my Friday blog post on Clark and his medical history in Denver, it seems he will travel with the team, but will not play. Look for Will Allen to get get the start in the absence of Clark and play most of the first half. The extended time will be good for both Allen and Ryan Mundy, who has been very consistent thus far in games.
