Steelers Six From Around The Web – Thursday April 8th

Georgia State investigators and Milledgeville police have completed their month-long probe of sexual assault allegations against Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Ocmulgee Judicial Court District Attorney, Frederic D. Bright, said on Wednesday he is reviewing the findings, but would not say when he might decide whether charges should be filed. Everyone keep your fingers crossed.

The older brother of Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall, Walter Mendenhall, was signed by the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday. Walter is a long shot to make the roster, but we wish him well and hope he does not spin like Rashard does.

Do you remember Dallas Baker? He actually saw time on the Steelers active roster during the 2008 season after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Florida and yesterday was signed by the Jacksonville Sharks of the Arena Football League.

A new Steelers book is due to be published this September by Gotham Books. The book is entitled, The Ones Who Hit The Hardest: The Steelers, the Cowboys, the \’70s and the Fight for America\’s Soul, and was written by Chad Millman and Shawn Coyne. ESPN has an excerpt from the book that centers around great defensive lineman, Ernie Holmes.
