With second year wide receiver Limas Sweed being placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list on Monday, the Steelers will need to fill the empty roster spot with another wide receiver. It is being reported that the Steelers have already contacted Shaun McDonald, who was released prior to the week 12 game versus Baltimore. They also reportedly have contacted veteran Ashley Lelie as well. One of the two will likely be signed on Tuesday. In addition to needing a receiver, the Steelers will also need a long snapper with Greg Warren being placed on injured reserve Monday with a torn ACL. Jared Retkofsky has been contacted and assuming he passes his physical, will likely be signed on Tuesday as well. Retkofsky was signed late last season after Warren went down with the same injury to the other knee.
