Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes has been fined $10,000 for using the ball as a prop, a NFL league source said on Wednesday. Holmes impersonated LeBron James and tossed the football in the air the way the basketball player does chalk dust after scoring the game winning touchdown in Super Bowl 43. Holmes did not receive a 15-yard personal foul penalty but the league admitted it was reviewed the wide receiver’s actions and decided that Holmes had violated the rule for using the ball as a prop. probably the best money Holmes will ever spend.
