The Pittsburgh Steelers continued their dominance over the AFC North this year with a 31-0 shutout of the visiting Cleveland Browns. The Steeler defense once again ruled the day, forcing 2 turnovers and returning one for a score. The Steeler offense was still inconsistent as whole, but did move the ball better especially on the ground. The Steelers thoughts now move to Ben Roethlisberger, who was knocked out before halftime with a concussion. Roethlisberger will have 2 weeks to get ready for the first playoff game. Hines Ward led all receivers with 6 catches for 70 yards and Willie Parker led all rushers with 116 yards on 23 carries. Backup quarterback Byron Leftwich was 7 for 12 passing for 80 yards in relief of the injured Roethlisberger. The Steelers defense held the Browns offense to just 26 yards passing and 106 yards rushing.
