Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media a little while ago from the Steelers South Side practice facilty. Wide receiver Santonio Holmes met with Tomlin on Monday and is back with the team and will practice and should play this week baring any suspension from the league. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is also day-to-day with a sore right shoulder, but should be fine this week. Left tackle Marvel Smith is still day-to-day with a back strain and Tomlin said he will start if he is able to play. Punter Mitch Berger is rehabbing his hamstring after Sunday\’s game and his status will be determined later in the week. The Steelers have worked out a punter just in case. Long snapper Greg Warren had successful left knee surgery and will be placed on injured reserve. The Steelers have worked out four free agent long snappers and will likely sign one by the end of the day. Cornerback Bryant McFadden continues to recover from a broken arm and will not play this week.
