Schultz: Ravens Agree To Contract With WR DeAndre Hopkins

The Baltimore Ravens wide receivers just got better. According to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz, the Ravens are signing veteran WR DeAndre Hopkins. It’s a one-year deal worth $6 million.

Still a high-end contested catch receiver, Hopkins split his 2024 season between the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs, traded to the Chiefs at the deadline. Across both teams, he finished the year catching 56 passes for 610 yards and five touchdowns.

A five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro, Hopkins will round out a solid Ravens’ wide receiver corps, joining Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Flowers broke out with a 1,000-yard 2024 campaign while Bateman put up career bests, including a whopping nine receiving scores. Baltimore still has a dynamic tight-end duo of Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely.

With RB Derrick Henry and QB Lamar Jackson, Baltimore finished with the third-ranked scoring offense of 2024. Jackson finished second in the MVP race to the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen. In three 2024 meetings, the Ravens went 2-1 against the Steelers, beating them in Week 16 and the Wild Card game.

For his career, DeAndre Hopkins has caught 984 receptions for nearly 13,000 yards and 83 touchdowns. At 32, he’s entering the final years of his career but posted a 1,000-yard campaign as recently as 2023. In four career games against the Steelers, Hopkins has caught 16 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown.

Pittsburgh made its own wide receiver splash, trading for Seattle Seahawks WR DK Metcalf Sunday evening. The move can officially be processed on Wednesday after the new league year begins at 4 PM/EST.

Other notable wide receiver signings include Chris Godwin remaining with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Darius Slayton re-signing with the New York Giants, Davante Adams agreeing to terms with the Los Angeles Chargers, and Josh Palmer with the Buffalo Bills.
