Overall, it’s a light list coming off Sunday’s win against the Los Angeles Rams. Mike Tomlin noted Holcomb’s ankle injury during his Tuesday press conference. He injured it during Week Seven’s game and was attended to by trainers before walking off the field under his own power. He returned to the game but saw limited playing time down the stretch, especially in the fourth quarter. Tomlin said he expected Holcomb to be limited early in the week but did not publicly express concern over his availability for Sunday’s game. That Holcomb practiced in full today is a great sign.
Wallace did not finish Sunday’s game. At the time, it was unclear if that was due to his poor play, allowing a long touchdown pass and two-point conversion, or due to injury. With him sitting out today, it appears to be the latter. CB James Pierre replaced him for the team’s final two defensive snaps.
Seumalo gets a typical Wednesday rest day. Herbig’s illness will be monitored throughout the week. RB Anthony McFarland Jr. remains on IR but has practiced in full since his 21-day window to return opened up last Monday. He could be activated this weekend.
Pittsburgh and Jacksonville kick off this Sunday at 1 PM/EST.
