Deshaun Watson Out

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson has been ruled out for the team’s Week Eight game against the Seattle Seahawks. Veteran P.J. Walker will get the nod, officially signed off the Browns’ practice squad to their 53-man roster today. Watson has not practiced this week and didn’t participate in Wednesday’s session due to an injured shoulder. It’s unclear when he could return.

The Steelers play the Browns in Week 11.

Kay Adams Picks T.J. Watt

In what will likely be a hotly contested battle for Defensive Player of the Year Award honors, Kay Adams is choosing T.J. Watt. She made her case for Watt on her Up and Adams show Wednesday.

“This is my Defensive Player of the Year to this point with the impact that he’s had,” she said.

Through six games, Watt has eight sacks, two forced fumbles, and his Sunday interception against the Rams, a turning point in Pittsburgh’s victory. He’ll be competing with Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett and Dallas Cowboys LB/EDGE Micah Parsons for the award.

Glorilla Meets Tomlin

Rapper Glorilla met Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin yesterday. And judging from this video posted by 2Cool2Blog, she seems pretty excited. Evidently, she’s a longtime Steelers fan. You can watch the whole clip below.

Roche Signs With Vikings

Former Pittsburgh Steelers EDGE rusher Quincy Roche has signed to the Minnesota Vikings practice squad, according to NFL Insider Aaron Wilson.

A sixth-round pick of the Steelers in 2021 from Miami (FL), transferring there after Temple, Roche never officially appeared in a game for the team. He lost out to EDGE rusher and special teamer Jamir Jones in training camp and was claimed off waivers by the New York Giants. He recorded 2.5 sacks with them as a rookie before losing playing time in 2022. The Steelers signed him back to their offseason roster but cut him during final cutdowns this summer.

Pro Football Talk Power Rankings

In Pro Football Talk’s updated power rankings, the Steelers are ranked fifth in the AFC Conference. They only trail the Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars (who the Steelers will play Sunday), the Miami Dolphins, and AFC North-leading Baltimore Ravens. Curious to see the Jaguars so high but that’s PFT coming in with a typical hot take.
