The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released their list of seven players who will be inactive for the team’s Sunday afternoon Week 9 home game against the Indianapolis Colts and as expected, it doesn’t include any real surprises.
Inactive for the Steelers Sunday afternoon after being officially listed as out for the Week 9 game on the Friday injury report are running back Benny Snell Jr. (knee) and guard Ramon Foster (concussion). This will mark the first games this season that Snell and Foster have missed. With Foster out, B.J. Finney will start at left guard in his place.
Also inactive on Sunday for the Steelers is running back James Conner (shoulder), who ended the week listed as doubtful on the injury report after failing to practice all week. This is the first game this season that Conner has missed.
With running backs Conner and Snell both sidelined on Sunday, running back Jaylen Samuels, who missed the last two games with a knee injury, will start against the Colts and be backed up by Trey Edmunds and Tony Brooks-James, who was promoted from the practice squad on Saturday.
The other Steelers inactive players for Week 9 are a healthy scratches and they are defensive end L.T. Walton, quarterback Paxton Lynch, cornerback Justin Layne, and tight end Zach Gentry.
