Season 10, Episode 16 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Wednesday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to recapping the few transactions that the Pittsburgh Steelers have made since their Sunday night loss to the New England Patriots. We first go over the trading of quarterback Joshua Dobbs and the re-signing of quarterback Devlin Hodges to the practice squad and discuss how it looks like the team is intent on moving forward with just two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster for the time being.
We go over the history of the Steelers dating back to 2000 regarding them usually keeping three quarterbacks on the 53 and recap the few games where they only had two. we also discuss what future roster contraction might look like moving forward. The Steelers lost outside linebacker Tuzar Skipper to the New York Giants on Monday so Alex and I discuss how unfortunate that was.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his usual press conference on Tuesday so Alex and I go through all of the main talking points that stuck out to us. We go over the injury report Tomlin provided as part of that discussion.
With the all-22 from the loss to the Patriots now gone over, Alex and I discuss the Sunday night game more and that includes going over additional things that have caught our eyes in the last few days. There’s a lot of bad that we are forced to recap during the middle of the show. We discuss several different situations from the Sunday night game and attempt to define a key turning point.
We close out this show with a few thoughts on the latest regarding Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown.
As usual, Alex and I answer a few email questions that we received from listeners since our last show posted to close out this episode.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
