The Pittsburgh Steelers were in attendance for Ashland’s Pro Day with all eyes on tight end Adam Shaheen, per Jim Wexell over at Scout.com.
Wexell reports tight ends coach James Daniel was on hand to watch Shaheen work out. Shaheen reportedly only did on-field drills, standing on his Combine numbers. At Indy, he ran a 4.79 at 6’6 278 pounds, an excellent time for his frame.
Ashland football tweeted out some photos of him working out today.

And here’s a video of him warming up with some one-handed catches, Odell Beckham Jr style.
Ashland was buzzing today with at least 15 teams in attendance, including five tight end coaches, per The Athletic’s Zac Jackson.
In 2016, he caught 57 passes for 867 yards and 16 touchdowns. The Steelers have shown a pretty clear interest in drafting a tight end as insurance against Ladarius Green. Shaheen’s name would be in the mix in the second round for Pittsburgh.
Dave Bryan will write the report on him in the near feature. I know this site has many people who are big fans of this small school tight end.
