Steelers Vs. Patriots: Inactives For AFC Championship Game

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots have now both released their inactive lists ahead of Sunday’s AFC Championship game and when it comes to the visiting team, there are no huge surprises.

After ending the week listed as questionable on the injury report, tight end Ladarius GreenĀ is on the Steelers inactive list due to his concussion. Green hasn’t played since Week 15.

The rest of the Steelers seven-man inactive list consist of six healthy scratches and they are quarterback Zach Mettenberger, tackle Brian Mihalik, defensive end Johnny Maxey, cornerback Al-Hajj Shabazz, linebacker L.J. Fort and wide receiver Demarcus Ayers.

The Steelers will dress five wide receivers with Ayers down.

Active Sunday are defensive end Ricardo Mathews and linebacker Anthony Chickillo and both players are returning after sitting out the Steelers last two games with ankle injuries.

As expected, linebacker James Harrison is active after ending the week listed as questionable. Also active is running back Fitzgerald Toussaint, who hasn’t played since the Wild Card game.
