It’s been a challenging season for Pittsburgh Steelers’ receiver Martavis Bryant. He’s been away from the game for nearly a year and is now looking to get let back into the league whenever, assuming he does that is, Roger Goodell lets him back in.
After writing earlier Bryant has reached out to Ben Roethlisberger, Bryant posted a photo to Instagram showing he’s gotten his weight up.
As you can tell, Bryant is now up to a tick below 228 pounds. It’s unclear what Bryant has played at during his NFL career though he weighed in at 211 pounds at the 2014 NFL combine. Getting his weight up beyond that and playing a little heavier should only help him be the physical, out-fight-you receiver he can be downfield.
And if the Steelers are able to get him back into the league and his mind on the right track, they’ll have the true #2 receiver they lacked for the entire 2016 campaign. Hopefully he recognized how much the team missed him and that serves as extra motivation going forward.
