The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cleveland Browns 24-9 Sunday on the road and if that isn’t enough good news, the team appears to have escaped the game without suffering any significant injuries.
During his post-game press conference, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin didn’t even provide an injury report and that’s probably a good sign for a team that has already suffered their fair share of injuries so far this season.
It should be noted, however, that Steelers safety Mike Mitchell left Sunday’s game for several plays as he was reportedly checked for a concussion. Mitchell, however, did return to the game and finished it.
Five Steelers players did miss Sunday’s game due to previous injuries they had suffered as wide receiver Darrius-Heyward-Bey (foot), running back DeAngelo Williams (knee), safety Shamarko Thomas (groin), safety Jordan Dangerfield (groin) and tight end Xavier Grimble (quadricep) were all inactive.
The Steelers now have a short week to prepare for their next game that will take place Thanksgiving night against the Indianapolis Colts. With it being a short week, Tomlin will probably hold his weekly press conference on Monday.
