The Pittsburgh Steelers lost 30-15 on the road to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and after the game was over, head coach Mike Tomlin recapped the team’s poor performance in addition to the injuries that his team incurred during the contest.
“Mike Mitchell had a knee sprain, he was able to return to the game as did Ben [Roethlisberger],” Tomlin said. “He was able to return to the game. We had several guys with heat-related cramps and so forth, but I think most of them were able to return to the game in some form or fashion.”
While not named by Tomlin, wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey, linebacker Vince Williams, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, and defensive end Stephon Tuitt all left the game with injuries against the Dolphins. All are believed to have been heat related.
As for Ben Roethlisberger, he did return to game after leaving in the first half with what was termed a knee injury.
We will update the status of him later on in the evening.
