Happy Friday to all of you once again. If you’re like me, you are probably a little bummed about the Pittsburgh Steelers needing to part ways with veteran kicker Shaun Suisham earlier in the day. While it was obvious that Suisham would have likely been gone just before the start of the regular season, it’s a bit sad that he wasn’t at least healthy enough to compete during training camp and a chance to perhaps continue his NFL career elsewhere. He kicked great during his time in Pittsburgh and while it ultimately wound up costing him his career, he was always willing to come up and make a tackle on kickoffs.
We still have a full month to wait until the Steelers report to Latrobe for training camp but at least this past week seemed to fly by. Let’s hope that continues. July is almost here.
Believe it or not, by the time the Steelers regular-season gets underway, I will likely have lost 50 pounds since they lost in the playoffs to the Denver Broncos. No, I’m not exercising while blahging, I’ve just eliminated a lot of junk food out of my diet. I’m eating a lot of fish and chicken these days and Saturday is the only day during the week that I cheat. I mean, I eat everything bad that I can get into my mouth on Saturday. I already feel much better, thanks for asking.
Ok, as I do every Friday evening, I have five questions for you to answer and I hope several of you take time to do just that in the comments below. I believe a few of them this week will really make you think before you answer. Please have a great weekend and as always, thank you for visiting the site this past week. Peace and love to all of you.
1 – If given the opportunity to pick just one play to “do-over” in either of the Steelers two Super Bowl losses, which one would you choose?
2 – Name and rank the Steelers top-10 defensive backs of all-time.
3 – Now that Suisham is gone, should the Steelers bring in another young kicker to lessen the workload on Chris Boswell during training camp and the preseason?
4 – When the preseason is over, which player will have played the most total snaps on each side of the football?
5 – Excluding Mike Tomlin, Todd Haley and Keith Butler, which member of the Steelers coaching staff would you most like to spend an hour talking to one-on-one?
