Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger isn’t participating in the team’s Thursday OTA practice and he’s got a good reason to be absent.
According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Roethlisberger is now a father once again as his wife Ashley has given birth to another boy.
This is now the Roethlisberger’s third child together as they already have a son, Benjamin Jr., who was born in November of 2012 and a girl, Baylee Marie, who was born in March of 2014.
Congratulations to both Ben and Ashley on this great news. It sounds like the Steelers quarterback has some extra cardio coming his way over the course of the several years.
In related news, Steelers backup quarterback Landry Jones and his wife are apparently new parents as well and that would explain his absence from Wednesday’s practice.
