South Alabama held their annual pro day on Monday and according to Creg Stephenson of AL.com, the Pittsburgh Steelers were one of several NFL teams represented at the event.
Thanks to a list provided by Alyssa Newton on Twitter, you can see all of the players below who took part in Monday’s pro day at South Alabama and that list includes Alabama quarterback Jake Coker, who also participated in his school’s pro day on March 9. Coker, however, was not invited to the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine back in February.
“In general, Jake is a guy that likes to compete, and he didn’t get that opportunity at the combine,” Coker’s personal coach David Morris reportedly said recently. “The people that we’ve talked to in the NFL have all said ‘you don’t have anything to hide.’ Every opportunity to throw in front of the right people is a good opportunity. He looked really good at Alabama’s Pro Day, so ‘let’s go do it again.'”
As far as the South Alabama players go who participated on Monday, tight end Braedon Bowman is perhaps the highest-rated one of the group, even though he’s likely to go undrafted. Bowman, who caught 29 passes for 381 yards during his college career at South Alabama, reportedly did 26 reps on the bench on Monday, according to Stephenson.
