Another Pittsburgh Steelers’ defender is heading to see Dick LeBeau in Tennessee.
Linebacker Terence Garvin is visiting the Tennessee Titans, according to Rand Gettlin.
This is Garvin’s second visit since hitting free agency. He visited the Washington Redskins this past week and left without a contract. The Steelers decided against tendering him and now it’s looking likely that he will sign elsewhere. He proved to be a valuable special teams player, maybe more than anyone else on the team, who played on every unit but field goals.
Garvin was used early in the year in goal line packages but after allowing two touchdowns in Week One to the New England Patriots, was removed as the Steelers opted to keep an extra defensive back.
As we wrote, the Steelers could lose Sean Spence and Garvin, delivering a blow to their inside linebacker depth, one of their biggest strengths top to bottom last year.
Antwon Blake visited the Titans earlier this week, too.
Expect a lot of announcements during this upcoming week of where these and the other players we’ve mentioned we’ll sign. It’s going to be a busy five days. Buckle up.
