Happy Friday to all of you.
The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine is now in full swing and I spent all of my day watching the Underwear Olympics and listening to player interviews. We are now almost one week away from the start of the new league year and that means we should have some Pittsburgh Steelers news to discuss at some point next week as that’s when I expect a few contract restructures along with a few free agent re-signings will take place.
As we do here every Friday, I have five questions for you to answer and all are related to either the combine or the draft. Please take time to shoot me your answers in the comments below.
Have a great weekend and peace and love to all of you.
1 – Based on what you know right now, give me a percentage chance that the Steelers will draft either a cornerback or safety in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
2 – At what point would you consider drafting Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith now that there seems to be concerns that he has nerve issues in his ankle and knee after tearing his ACL and MCL during the Fiesta Bowl in January? What a horrible thing for that young man as he really was impressive on tape and would’ve likely been an early first-round selection.
3 – I don’t know about you but I really like Stanford guard Joshua Garnett and really think he’ll wind up being drafted somewhere in the bottom of the first round. If the Steelers fail to re-sign free agent left guard Ramon Foster, would you be on-board with Garnett as the their first round selection?
4 – Do you consider Arkansas tight end Hunter Henry to be overrated or underrated?
5 – Name two things that stick out to you the most when looking at the NFL Combine results from Friday.
