The Pittsburgh Steelers missed several opportunities in their Sunday playoff loss to the Denver Broncos but there was one call in the third quarter that probably was missed that could’ve really changed the game.
On 3rd down and 5 from the Broncos 10-yard-line. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger attempted to hit wide receiver Martavis Bryant on the right side of the end zone only to have Aqib Talib challenge the pass from behind. Early at that.
It’s obvious in the replay that Talib made quite a bit of contact with Bryant prior to the football arriving, yet no pass interference call was made. The Steelers subsequently had to settle for a field goal instead of having the football first and goal at the Broncos one.
