Steelers Injury Report: Roethlisberger, Mitchell Practice Fully Thursday

The Pittsburgh Steelers gave now completed their Thursday practice ahead of Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns and while there is some good news when it comes to the team’s daily injury report, several players did miss practice once again.

Sitting out Thursday were cornerback Antwon Blake (back), wide receiver Martavis Bryant (illness), cornerback Doran Grant (groin) and linebacker James Harrison (illness). Blake, Bryant and Harrison all sat out on Wednesday as well. Grant, on the other hand, is going in the wrong direction with his groin injury as he was listed on Wednesday as being limited.

Safety Will Allen (not injury related), linebacker Ryan Shazier (not injury related) and tight end Matt Spaeth (not injury related) were all added to the injury report on Thursday after being given the day off. That’s not unusual, however, based on recent weeks, so expect all three to be back practicing on Friday.

Practicing fully on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday were quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (illness), safety Mike Mitchell (shoulder), tight end Heath Miller (not injury related) and cornerback William Gay (not injury related). This is good news when it comes to Mitchell as he has battled a shoulder injury for a few weeks now.

By the looks of things, Blake and Grant are the two players with the greatest chance of missing Sundays game against the Browns.
