The Cincinnati Bengals have had the luck of health for most of the season. But as we enter the stretch run, they’re experiencing their first wave of injuries.
Cornerback Adam Jones headlines the injury report, officially listed as doubtful with a foot injury for Sunday’s AFC North matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Joining him on the doubtful side is rookie offensive tackle Jake Fisher with a concussion. Jones had been the Bengals’ starting right corner for the year, playing at a high level. Fisher is an underrated loss. He had gotten a lot of run as a tackle eligible player and has even been targeted in the end zone each of the last two weeks.
WR Mario Alford, CB Leon Hall (back), and safety George Iloka (back) are all listed as questionable. Hall was a full participant Friday, a positive sign, especially with Jones out. Hall had been serving as the team’s nickel corner. If Iloka can’t play, he’ll be replaced by Shawn Williams, who filled in for him last week. Iloka was limited Friday.
Tyler Eifert is probable after missing last week with a neck injury. Clint Boling, Dre Kirkpatrik, Josh Shaw, and Ryan Hewitt all join him as probable.
