Chalk up another award for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger as it’s now being reported that he’s been voted as the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week for Week 10.
Roethlisberger, who entered Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns midway through the first quarter after starter Landry Jones went down injured, completed 22 of his 33 pass attempts in the game for 379 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in the Steelers’ 30-9 win at Heinz Field.
In Sunday’s win, Roethlisberger also set a new NFL record for passing yards by a quarterback who did not start a game. Additionally, he also passed former NFL quarterback Kerry Collins for 13th place on the league’s all-time passing yardage list.
Last week, Roethlisberger was beaten out for the same award by Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota despite throwing for 334 yards and two touchdowns in the Steelers 38-35 victory against the Oakland Raiders.
Last season, Roethlisberger won the fan award four times
Earlier this week, Roethlisberger was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his play Sunday against the Browns.
