Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders with a left foot injury and after the game head coach Mike Tomlin offered a little update.
Tomlin said that Roethlisberger is still be evaluated and that he is currently undergoing a MRI on his injured foot. He said an update will be coming in the future.
“I don’t have a lot of information for you in that regard,” said Tomlin. “He’s getting MRIed as we speak. The next time we come together I’m sure I’ll have an update for you or even prior to that I’ll release something through our PR department to update you with his status.”
Roethlisberger left after being sacked by Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith. When the two went to the ground, Smith’s weight landed on Roethlisberger’s left foot. The quarterback then had to be helped off the field and was almost immediately carted off to the locker room.
Tomlin didn’t mention any other injuries during his press conference.
