Season 6, Episode 31 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I start things off by talking about the key non-call at the end of Monday night’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Detroit Lions being as it is a very topical subject on this Tuesday. We also discuss how the ESPN crew handled the discussion of that key play during their post-game coverage.
The Pittsburgh Steelers decided to move on from kicker Josh Scobee on Saturday and they signed the inexperienced Chris Boswell to replace him. We talk quite a bit about those two moves.
A few of the Steelers injured players returned to practice on Monday so we discuss their status in addition to the session with the media that wide receiver Martavis Bryant had on Monday now that he has returned from his four-game suspension.
With the first quarter of the Steelers season now in the books, David and I hand out some individual awards in the later part of this episode.
We also talk about the Steelers lack of YAC in Thursday night’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens in addition to talking more about the defense and how the tackling must improve going forward.
We close things out by taking a quick look ahead to the Steelers upcoming game against the San Diego Chargers and whether or not injured quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will make it back for the Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
David also lets you know what questions he plans on asking head coach Mike Tomlin during his Tuesday press conference.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.
